This week we’re training sales specialists from throughout North America on the new 1199 Panigale. We chose the all-new NOLA Motorsports park in New Orleans, LA as the location for the academy and it has proven to be the perfect choice. The people are great, the facility is incredible and the track is just right for this type of an event. Today was a really rough day for Ducati North America staff members on hand… The bikes needed to be broken in before the week ahead and who better to do so than our own staff?

Pikes Peak Short Film
by arrickmaurice on February 6, 2012 in Business, Motorsports
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is an interesting race for Ducati in that there are relatively few spectators and there is very little media coverage. So, how do we share our story? This short film is one of those ways. The result of a lot of hard work and dedication by all parties involved, we are excited to finally share it with the world. It’s no typical short Youtube video, so grab some popcorn, go full screen HD and turn up the volume. Enjoy.
Here’s the synopsis of the video:
In 2011, four pilots chose the Ducati Multistrada 1200 as their weapon of choice to attack Pikes Peak in the 89th running of “The Race to the Clouds.” Two would finish on the podium. Two would not finish… This is their story.
Monster Challenge

The Ducati Monster is the most iconic naked sportbike ever built and upon joining Ducati, I didn’t waste any time scooping up my own. While most are drawn to the Monster for its raw beauty and performance, many consider it a blank canvas, perfect for customization and personalization.
For 2011, we launched a customization competition for Ducati Monster owners and while I wasn’t eligible to compete, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to roll up my sleeves and join in on the fun. What started off as a short list of modifications quickly spun out of control…
in a good way.

One Year Later
by arrickmaurice on January 30, 2011 in Business, Motorsports
Just one year ago, I left NYC and a career as an Art Director for an opportunity to join Ducati as the Brand Manager for the North American market. The premium Italian motorcycle brand is built on a foundation of passion for motorcycles and is a manifestation of unmistakable Italian design and unrivaled performance, proven through decades of race wins throughout the world. An incredible opportunity to say the least…
With the opportunity came a stagnant void in the web – arrickmaurice.com. While it has served me well as a portfolio site for over eight years, it has become somewhat irrelevant with my new career path. So, I’m finally getting around to filling the void with what you see here, my entry into the world of blogging. I am not exactly sure what will materialize in this space, but it is sure to be reflective of my passions in life including, but not limited to motorcycles (specifically of the premium Italian variety), all things creative, business and culture.
Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today.
